Easter

We had a lovely Easter spending time with family and listening to LDS General Conference.  Since conference sessions were from noon-2:00pm and 4:00-6:00pm here, both kids napped during the morning sessions and Nathaniel and I got to really listen together! We spent the afternoon's at my parent's house eating too much food and swooning over Ember's hysterical wittiness and Akston's new walking legs.  We missed all our family west of us! Here are a few (or a little more than a few...) pictures for our family we didn't get to see this weekend!

My kids LOVE those little fruit/veggie pouches at the store, so the bunny stocked them up. :)

This picture about sums up Akston's reaction to all the Easter festivities. "When can we go outside??"

 On the hunt!

The bunny left pieces of his bunny tail as a clue to find more eggs! (Grandpa is the best bunny around! Before we got to their house, he and Grandma had filled FIFTY eggs.  Nathaniel and my dad hid the eggs outside and my had scattered little pieces of cotton around as "bunny tail." hahah! I mean, is he not the best?!)

Intent on exploring and leaving the eggs for big sis.

I didn't even know rabbits could jump that high!

Best daddy in the world.

 Sortin' the loot.

Ember loves taking "pitchers." I'm glad cause we hardly ever get any together and she's getting pretty good!

Sunday morning baking.  We decided to make a bunny cake this year! Ember painted his little ears and we almost couldn't eat him, he was so cute!

This is his spot.  Claimed territory for the Ax-man.  He likes to feel the breeze through his little mullet and tell the neighbors, "Hi!"

We're so in love with this little scraggly, dirty, happy, chunky monkey!

And his big sister is just the sunshine to our life!

Happy Easter!

  1. Thank you so much for sharing pics of this special time. My heart melts every time I see pics of the kids, then even all over again when I saw the sweet one Ember took of you two (and most of little brother...Heehee). Of course every glimpse of their adorable little personalities that shine through each shot just makes this grandma beam all the more. I just have to say how wonderful it is to witness precious moments, like daddy helping Ember reach the egg in the tree and making the bunny cake with mommy. How grateful I am to see the tender sweet love between you and the attentive, loving parents you two are with your little ones. You truly are an inspiring example. Love you all so much!♡
