I've got a hankering for homemade.

Did that make me sound like a hick? Well...I am from Virginia...and I do live in Idaho. I guess that answers my question.

Well. Let me just start off by saying, life is good. In the words of Snow White from the book, Snow White's Lesson, "Whenever you are scared, just sing and soon your troubles will be gone." Or something like that. You know, even though she's probably one of the least liked princesses and has one of the most annoying voices in the world...girl knows what she's talkin about. Scary things never last. There's always sunshine at the end of a storm. And the best part is that God created rain boots and polka dot umbrellas so that we can have fun in the rain. I guess my point is that even though there's sunshine to look forward to, looking toward the future can seem like an eternity. Making our own mental sunshine makes the time go a heck of a lot faster. Lightening bolts can either terrify us and make us cover our head with our blanket...or they can make some really cool pictures (we have some to prove it). Rain can either prevent us from cleaning the car...or make a rather nice substitute. It's all in perspective. Well...I'm no pro, but I have found a couple things that are total mental rain boots for me...if you will.

Exhibit A:
Making this baby-

Nothing gives me the giddies more than starting a project from nothing and turning into a something. Except my husband. But nothing else.

Exhibit B:
Folding these-

Weird? A little...but you see...they're his. And he's number one. And I miss him.

Exhibit C:
Well, I don't have a picture of this one...but if I did, it would look something like this-

I am just way grateful for the amazing women I have met over the last 6 months. They have the sweetest hearts, funniest personalities, and cutest kids this side of the Mississippi. And I am just so glad our husbands will all be best friends when they get home. Lucky guys...they don't know how good they've got it. :)
